Lake Superior Divers Supply and School was founded in 1956 by Donald Van Nispen, a master diver and instructor with a passion for teaching and a heart for adventure. Don certified thousands of area divers. He was also involved with the Douglas and St Louis County Rescue Teams. He also had an extensive amount of experience in commercial diving and, boat and equipment repair as well as underwater construction and demolition.
