About 29 Down Wreck

This is Hawaii's newest and latest wreck dive. This 15 meter Havilland plane was used by the Hawaiian Air Transport Service. Years later this plane was used in a Hawaiian Film called 'Flight 29 Down' hence the name. She was built in the early 1950's and sank as a artificial reef in 2007. Despite her bottom time, she has already started to gain new marine life and coral growth. She rests on a sandy bottom and penetration is allowed.
